Twenty years ago, I wasn’t trying to create an organization. I wanted to fulfill a need: to support women and girls around the world who had no voice, no power, no money, and no way out – by creating access to education, opportunity, and financial security.
So, I started small – really small. With a mentoring program for ten at-risk girls in Kenya.
There was no grand strategy. Just a belief that when girls are supported through mentoring, education, and opportunity, their lives can change. And when women change, families and communities follow.
Over time, mentoring grew into education. Education grew into workforce readiness. And workforce readiness grew into economic empowerment—always delivered through partnerships with community-based organizations that deeply understand the women they serve.
Today, Global Give Back Circle implements Kenya’s largest skills-building and economic empowerment program for hard-to-reach rural young women.
